It may be in the future we have the ability to deploy to FW as a full team,i propose this format;
FW Battlegroup
16 Dust player slots, 3 eve player slots (or more), all invited to the platoon by a dust player. (eve players could be allowed to stay in fleets)
Once all participants are ready the platoon leader finds a battle, once found the location appears in the platoon window for the eve players, for the dust players it shows the number of jumps from the battle each pilot is (perhaps unnecessary).
All can switch to team chat as per usual or stay in sqd chat. I would like to see a more customisable comm system but the results can be achieved simply with some training and discipline/restraint. Perhaps we just need eve players chat to only be communicating with sqd leaders.
For now that's about it, though u can push it further by allowing eve players to be able to see the overhead dust map, allowing them to actually take part in the ground battle, providing intel/advice/ORDERS!, eve players using they're scanners to do a short pulse on the dust map to aid in targeting orbitals (disabling their scanner for use in space making them temporarily vulnerable) but i digress.
Overall i want the platoon system to allow for squads to enter the same battle without queue syncing, also for eve players to have a direct line of communication with their dust mercs from the merc quarters all the way to the battle.

as an eve player and orbital bombarder i acn assure you that some times you wont be able to have orbital support because we have to travel 30 systems, which takes a while...

I replied to u about this in the other thread about OB's, 30 systems...?, there may be something up with your route settings or u are being asked to fight for the wrong faction.
In reference to this concept of platoons, that's why i wanted to add more than one pilot so u can spread out and cover a greater area, the closest pilot can respond and the others can busy themselves with something else space side or switch to a different sqd/platoon.

Any other outfits that run queue syncing and combined operations with eve please weigh in with ur thoughts. Perhaps we could even have a platoon finder on both platf
orms similar to the squad finder
