In eve one has warfare link modules, these are modules that augment a fleets attributes when fitted to the appropriate ship.
In dust maybe we should have something similar, originally i thought of a command suit, which has bonuses to effectiveness of warfare link modules or perhaps fitting of said mods, or its the only suit with a command module slot.
In the end im leaning towards a passive module that fits in an equipment slot, with only one being allowed per suit and only active in battle for sqd leaders.
Primarily the concern is this will allow nasty sqds to be even nastier, on the other hand it will encourage more ppl to play in sqds (which many people would like to see). To counter the stomping sqds and the fact that solo players are at a disadvantage the modules themselves will have to be carefully designed. Perhaps nothing too direct such as extra HP or DMG. Stick to other in battle attributes such as; stamina, speed, shield recharge, armor repair rate, reloads etc etc
Here are some suggestions (actual values and bonuses are theories, its simply to demonstrate the concept), perhaps you would like to add ur own, or comment on the idea.

20% bonus lock on range
10% bonus to Swarm launcher reload speed
Gallente Recon Warfare Link
20% bonus to scan radius and/or precision
5% bonus to stamina and/or sprint speed
Ammar Laser Warfare Link
15% decrease to laser heat build up
20% decrease to feedback dmg
Minmatar Demolitions Warfare Link Module
15% bonus to remote explosive blast radius
25% bonus to locus grenade throw distance

I'd like to see these as well eventually. I picture them on a walker-style vehicle that is slow, heavily tanked, has one or two light turrets and is very expensive. In order to receive the bonus, your squadmates would have to be within something like a 100m radius. Obviously this wouldn't happen for a long time, but would be damn cool.

While I am not sure about specific bonuses and that stuff I 100% LOVE the idea of warfare links in DUST!
This would however turn a already brilliant proto squad into a super force but that's eve like and I like it! |

Those are just some ideas of bonuses, I just plucked some ideas. I wasn't sure about things like hybrid/explosive weapon dmg bonus as that may be too much. Post ur own ideas of bonuses. Obviously battle walkers will be amazing. Or command vehicles in general would be good. Maybe it's a role medium vehicles aka APC's or IVF's could fill, mobile crude and command bonus bubbles.
But to begin with id like to see it on suits. The idea has also been put.to me of having it as deployable equipment, which may be easy to implement, but being able to get the bonus wherever u are would be handier. You could see whole sqds fits designed along a specific doctrine
