It seams that people are saying that their are now penalty's for stacking mods, I know about the recent shield recharge penalty, but did not know about any others.
Could someone please provide a link or list what the penalty's are for which mods, so we can all know about them.
Thank you, this should help us all out. |

Stacking penalties are not the same thing as the shield extender penalty.
The shield extender penalty is a flat +3% to depleted shield recharge delay per shield extender mod fitted. This is akin to the armor plate penalty, which decreases speed by a static amount based on the tier of armor plate you equipped. It goes STD/ADV/PRO=2%/3%/5%
Stacking penalties are a dynamically increasing set of reductions that increase in strength on a per module basis. If the mod is effected by stacking penalties, it will say so in the module's description. It goes: First mod: 100% Second mod: 87% Third mod: 57%
After that, I don't know the numbers, just suffice to say that the fourth module is too low to be considered effective.
No, I am not CCP Logibro.

This seams to be for EVE and who knows if it translates to Dust.
Does anyone know what the Dust penalty's are for sure? |

This is the same as the eve link said, are these for Dust?
Pre 1.6 I did not notice any penalties, are their any CCP references to verify this is dust not eve and are they turned on for all mods that list stacking penalties?

Those numbers have been experimentally verified to be the same for DUST.
I'd like to say Ben Hurin did the work on it (he's the work on 95% of everything else), but don't quote me on that.

I haven't done "extensive" work on it but every module I've tested has conformed to the same stacking penalties as EVE.

Thank you, this should help us all out. Yeah damn, ever since that 1.8 patch I can't stack 5 damage mods anymore, CCP keeps nerfing things. What the hell is this? |

Thanks for the explanation on shield 3% penalty and equating it to armor for everyone. |

So to recap for everyone.
If a module says their is a stacking penalty then it is as follows: First mod: 100% Second mod: 87% Third mod: 57%
In addition there are but not cumulative, penalty's for armor and shields.
Any one disagree? of is this it? |

Full Chart
Most of that other stuff is for EVE but the values in the chart are accurate for both games.

I don't think that's true, and it wouldn't be how CCP calculates things, at any rate.
The "first mod" is always the one with the largest bonus. If indeed proficiency counted toward the penalty, it would only be the "first mod" for Prof. 4 or 5.
I haven't ever seen CCP include skill bonuses in the stacking penalty for EVE, or any stat that can be directly verified in DUST so far.
