Tired of seeing helpless blues walk right past enemy equipment......I know I am
So how do we encourage players to destroy equipment......add BETTER wp rewards for destroying equipment
Each nanohive has a set amount of ammo that can be deployed correct.....why not give a wp reward for the amount of ammo left in the nanohive........kind of like saying thanks for helping deplete enemy ammo reserves.....
Now everyone has dealt with this old problem......you destroy the uplink.....but someone spawns in after you've destroyed the uplink.......well here's my solution.....a lot of people won't like it but I hope at least a few of you will......when an uplink is destroyed every clone inbound is lost......and each clone lost gives the person who destroyed the uplink 10-20 wp.....so if I destroyed an uplink that had 5 people spawning on it.....they would lose their clones....I would receive 5 wp for destroying the uplink AND (using 10 wp reward for instance)50wp for the dead clones.....
Now before you go oh well I don't like losing a proto suit or an officer weapon without fighting.....my answer to that is......spawning is part of fighting these battles isnt it......shouldn't you THINK before you spawn.......not just mass spawn on the closest uplink........I see it as perfectly fair.........

Is your spacebar broken so you're using dots?
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I'm afraid there are too many pauses, then. Use a comma if you must, but use them sparingly.

I recommend you edit those out and just use "," for pauses.

I don't think we really need any changes. Getting a little something from destroying then now is icing on the cake personally. Not having tactical awareness to turn your welded on helmet head to see the equipment and destroy it is something the newer players really just have to learn. Also, how many times do you need to destroy an uplink, turn around and get killed before they realize to check the area over with their EYES. I see that as more of a rite of passage.
And if anything did change, there is definitely no way killing off the clones is acceptable. If you've cleared the guys around an uplink and now have time to concentrate on the uplink, you've either cleared well, or you have a team. If a single person comes in and has better gun game after spawning in an already disadvantaged position, I don't think they should be punished.
I also don't see how this is a downside for you. I actually have trouble destroying equipment before others because we're all greedy for wp. This situation you're seeing just sounds like free wp for yourself if no one else will do it.

The idea of loosing clones that are inbound to the uplink is a bit unfair. Especially in ambush where players dont have much choice. If there is just 1 uplink for some reason you have to spawn at it. You can press "smart deploy" but your going to deploy on the uplink. Also unlike objectives and CRU's you have no way to know if that uplink is about to be destroyed or even if anyone is near it unless someone on your team happens to run a scan in the area.
My opinion is that if there is a merc inbound when the uplink is destroyed they should simply be forced to pick a new location and should also get a discount on how long it will take to spawn.
People really should be destroying equipment just for the sake of destroying equipment. It denies resources to the other team so tactically it makes sense. |

More to the constructive part of this, Shadow, I think what you might be seeing is actually really really really new players that don't even know they can get points for destroying them yet. Once they accidentally throw a grenade, they'll learn

I'm not having that problem as I have flux grenades. However, lately I am having trouble with my grenades just not going off at all. Is anyone else having that issue??

Small problem with your logic: Imagine the enemy team spams a bunch of equipment on one place. You flux it. You could potentially get HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of WP for fluxing a bunch of enemy nanos. People would take andvantage of this broken mechanic and have friends just place a bunch of equipment for you to flux. Worstly, imagine being in FW and you accidentally let loose a flux in enemy equipment...
And now the Forge Gun is little more than a dust collector, no pun intended.
