Picture this:
2 blobs floating in the air, trying to out manouver the each other by going up or down, swaying side to side, whilst firing missiles at a slow rof. Meanwhile they are just floating around in the view of redline failtankers on either side, who have been patiently waiting, deciding not to help the team but the just shoot any vehicle that tries to actually play dust514.

or

2 blobs flying at full tilt trying to manouver themselves around objects before the air to air missile, tanks in the redline will need at leaset 1% more kill trying to judge their shots.

So yes, I would like it so drop ships when engaging in air to air contact cn switch to a lock on heat seaking variant of their missile turrets, rather than the mile high blob war that is dropship battles.
