So before I start off on this recipe, I feel I should mention that there was back in my home Arkansas there literally was a restaurant called "A place to eat". Can't find a picture of it though.
Anyway on to the food as I see you all are hypoglycemic. Today we are going to have "Frijoles Negros", black beans in english.
You will start off with:
2 cans of 16oz black beans
1/2 green or red bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
1 large onion, I prefer white, but purple is good too
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon of old bay seasoning
*Sidenote on the old bay, this is by my experience very hard to find, but well worth it, as it is quite flexible in usefulness, so if anyone you know is eyeing this for more than 5 seconds, well, don't take any chances.
a pinch of paprika
4 cups of water
2 cups of basmati rice (trust me, this makes the meal all the more orgasmic)
You'll want to start off by chopping up the peppers and onion, they don't have to be diced in small pieces, rather into medium sized slithers.
Up next start by cooking the black beans on medium heat in a large skillet with the garlic, about 10 minutes should do it.
After that start boiling the water, and once it reaches that point turn it to simmer and put the rice in there, it should take as long as white rice, around 15 minutes, but don't quote me on that.
Once the rice is simmering, put the salt, old bay, onion, and peppers into the black beans, cover the skillet and set to simmer. about 8 minutes should do it for the beans. After that put it on a plate or bowl and enjoy.
* foot note, putting avocado in as a topping goes well.

This just in, my review of yer recipe. I went to the market a whoppin 2 minutes away just to try your recipe.
Ease of preparation 5/5: Almost no prep unless youre fancy like me and take extra time to cook bagged beans
Ease of cooking 5/5: Honestly, the only thing you could possibly screw up in this recipe is the rice cooking, and if you do screw that up, it's a tale-tell sign that you probably just transitioned from microwave cooking.
Taste 4/5- It's a barebones frijoles negros imo, dont be afraid to add or substitue to your preference. Just don't add sour cream, its insulting.
Overall 4.8/5 or 4/5 with IGN's whackarse grading scale. I recommend this simple recipe to anyone who wants a crack at home cooking, which is a very necessary life skill. Great confidence booster because you get it right almost everytime.

Jasmine rice is better...
now put 0.25ml cup of water.
Microwave to 1minute
grind 1/2 kg gravel and sprinkle it around the rice
add a pinch of cement
to be eaten while burning hot

Either the basmati or jasmine rice are fine by me, the real key is the seasoning on those black beans. My go to is Goya Sazon, I think its mostly cumin and dry saffron but I'm not sure.
