For the HP and regen rate, the heavy is < gallante logi...
The gallante logi can repair better than a heavy and almost have the same amount of HP. They have repair hives and they can run 10X faster and they can strafe and have smaller hit box. Gallante logi is better at being heavy than a heavy its self. HP on heavies it too low and melts like butter... Buff heavy HP. |

The heavy already received an HP buff not too long ago. I can fit 1570 EHP on my 'Dren' Sentinel suit (basic suit, without any rep mods of course) which is far beyond what a Gallente logi can run, even at proto level. With one Complex Repair Module I lose 135 armor, dropping the suit to 1435 total EHP and gain 5 rep/s. Meaning my suit now reps as much as a Gallente logi suit without reps equipped. Still having much higher total EHP than any Gallente logi suit can fathom. |

The Gallente Logi cannot wield a behemoth meat grinder that spits our nearly 1000 DPS, however. Nor can it fire Kamehamehas from 300m.
The reason to use the Heavy frame is not the HP.

Heavy suit with no plates is little over 1k HP total. My gallente proto Logi with 4 complex plates is around 900 total HP. Heavy suit is 3.65m/s and my plated proto is 3.83m/s Half your HP pool regenerates faster then my armor. Also we arent 10x faster 
IDK but i think the heavy is better at being a heavy then a proto logi suit. Especially when equipped with a heavy machine gun. we just dont have the damage output to be point defense like a HMG does.
the heavy does have the disadvantage of having 1/2 its HP nullified by a good flux grenade. |

Point here: For the amount of HP the heavy gairs, it looses wayy to much speed and that HP comes with a hitbox of a titan in eve.
You forgot you're shields.

A gallente logi with 3 plates moves barely faster then a heavy. And a heavy can murder multiple people in a very short time when in optimal with a HMG. It is not a smart decision to take a heavy up front from close range. And you forget a gallente logi will never have more HP then a heavy. Simply cause alone with shield and armor skills to lvl 5 a heavy has a natural HP of 1200HP. You could get a gallente logi up to like 900HP by using nothing else then complex plates but you are literally slower then a plated heavy.

I run gallente logies and slay heavies all the time, give em damage reduction, that's something that will set them apart from other suits and will create more heavy/logi teams.
