I see 50,000 people on occasionally, but I think a lot of people don't know about this game. I tell a lot of my friends about it and they never heard of it. Bet if I tell them that it's free, maybe they'll listen

That number includes Eve players.
IWS' estimate seems reasonable to me. It doesn't really matter though. What matters is whether that number is growing or shrinking because this determines the long term viability of Dust.
It's fair to say that the numbers aren't increasing. This almost certainly means a declining income for Dust, and this is what must be addressed.
I'm curious why Bassmeant even posted, he quit playing ages ago.
CCP needs to step it up in a drastic way for this game to survive much longer. |

Most of the time tranquility (the eve shard) is at like 30-40k right? Well I think it would be reasonable to extrapolate that dust has about 50k players due to dust averaging between 3-4k throughout the day.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

I was just talking about this the other week with some guys in my corp.If I'm not mistaken,you can farm some major ISK per day.5 PSN accounts,and 14 alts.I can't remember how much ISK you start with,either 1.5 mil,or .5 mil,either way,it's some major ISK.
I personally don't have enough time and dedication to farm like this even if I wanted to,but I know there has to be people that are doing it. |
