When the idea for planet fight club first started I thought of it as place where all the top corps could just fight without having to deal with the politics of war and having to no life once a war started. Now its just a training ground for new corps. Lets start planet project mayhem. A planet where all the top corps can have weekly scheduled corp battles without having to no life a war just to get some action started.
We could do this on a smaller planet and just have the top 6-10 top corps fighting it out. I'm sorry but PC is still boring and it needs some action. I would like to fight everyone. DDB, STB, FA, NYIAN, RND. Lets beat eachother up before more talent leaves the game and all of PC turns into planet scrub club.
Most of the PC vets already know how boring war in PC is. Honestly who likes to play the same corp 12 hours a day for weeks on end. Whether you are winning or losing it gets old fast. Or we could just create a FW channel for corps to q^ 16 vs 16 with less lag.

God damn Crimson I just got done elucidating how we should make PFC enhanced with the idea that they get to take over PFC doing w/e it takes to fight for all of PFC control and then reset it when the fighting concludes in someone winning.
So long as we:
Found a nice planet that had enough districts for each respective corp to have 2 districts to begin with.
No more than 12 districts total needing to be be won
No locking respective districts to drag on the eventuality of losing it, strategic locking only includes circumstances of when you suspect a cheap attack when you've secured a district but it won't receive adequate regeneration to reach a minimum of 150 clones. (Basically it's only a single lock used to make sure you don't get attacked on a newly taken district that you're ****** on holding if they do because you can't defend it with one day of regeneration giving it 80-100 clones + the few that were left when you took it.)
TL;DR: You can lock a district once to ensure when it is attacked you'll have a fair chance of a minimum of 150 clones to defend it without needing to spend a clone pack of money.
Or we could just agree not to lock them at all and let the vultures hound newly taken districts
No calling in alliance ringers to field for you, and then we just agree to reset after there's a clear winner, with everyone agreeing that there are no alliances
Potential problems:
FW wouldn't work because trying to field 16 qsynced most often would lead to whoever for either 10 in or 12 in for a side and who's blues were less bad. Team Deploy would mitigate
If we did this PC side do you see it more like I see it when it's a planet to be taken and then reset after someone wins, or just a place we go to setup different installations and play each other on scheduled battles that are basically CB's?
If you did make it a planet mayhem where the purpose is to have a miccrocosm of all out war vs everyone at the same time over a small bit of land what rule would effectively prevent corps from coordinating with their alliance to take out the opposition. It'd end up being 3 of the corps you mentioned vs the rest...which is little fun...and anything involving Nyan means waking up at 4-7 am est...Not fun.
But overall if you work out the kinks i'm interested. I've spoken about this for months...no politics, just an interim place for CB's or a microcosm environment of PC but where it's a free for all where you have no alliance.

While an all out apocalype sounds cool its kind of what I want to get away from. War is boring and I just want a planet for the competition left to duke it out. Our own corp battle planet for all the best corps.
I agree with you that if a corp thinks they are good they should get a chance to get in but they have to prove it by beating one of the top corps and removing them from Project Mayhem. Unlike PFC the corps in project mayhem would police the planet. If a corp is using ringers to try and get in or spamming timers every day they lose thier stuff to all the current top corps in the game. That's a war no one is willing to fight. I could see this being self sustainable for a very long time. Even as vets burn out and new corps rise to power the new corps would inherit project mayhem.
I'm tired of politics and I would like to fight all the good corps that are left. I'm also really tired and falling asleep I will check back later. Feel free to brainstorm on this idea. |

PC wouldn't be as boring for you guys if CCP would open up more planets so some of the mid skilled corps could get a foothold on some land without having to tussle with the major leagues. And maybe fix the lag so there fair fights.

Some time ago, back in a different landscape of molden heath, we were working to create such a thing.
oddeluf was fight club, and we were looking at altbrard, osvetur or bosena (14,14,13 districts) to be a 'battle royale'.
each corp starts with 1 district, and was ensues between those until the planet is all 1 corp.
once eliminated from the planet, that corp is gone til that 'battle royale' is crowned a victor.
problems we ran into were:
oddeluf was a neverending cluster fu*k
most corps that would be in on this showed little potential for following the 'rules'
hence another Oddeluf situation.
Common Sense and Logic are 2 things you have to forget when posting on these forums.

Yeah so this seems cool, put a few corps into a battle planet and them let them duke it out.
People who want in have to earn it.
