Once again the subject should explain it all 
I play dust because of the members in the community and not just because it is a free game. I have met (virtually) some great people since playing this game and they are the reason that I play. The game is so much better when running in a squad with people who you clique with rather than just running solo as a blueberry.

I play because I love the game and CCP. The whole culture surrounding the game is great and I'm glad to have been onboard since E3 build as I love watching the game evolve. I'm also addicted to leveling and developing my merc and the fact that I can play how I want to play and this is only going to open up as the months and years roll by and new content is added.
Once it's had more time in the oven, say another year or so, and when it hits PS4, it's going to turn heads and by then I'll be a super merc skilled into a broad range of battlefield disciplines.

Also, because of the connection between EVE and Dust. I played a FW match with my own EVE support and it was just so awesome to have someone else, in a completely different game, shoot lasers from space in order to kill people and tanks:

Dust514 + Eve = Entertaiment in unreal world
Beercases = People I like in real life
Blueberries/Redberries = Mix of Failures and Challenges
So playing Dust/Eve for me is entertaiment in unreal world with my real friends while drinking beer and talking about life and such. While watching people fail and prosper in a game where everything you do makes a difference.

I know that one day we will have co-op PvE. That is a huge motivator.

In a grimdark future like New Eden humanity is pretty ****** up..... the Caldari can't save it, the Gallente would lie and let people fall by the wayside, and the Minmatar are to young and rash to make the decisions that will lead humanity into the future.
