I don't think I've ever performed that badly in a shooter in my life. However, the changes to make it work would actually be pretty small ones:
- Drop the deadzone adjustment marks to 1 each rather than 10, just like you did with the DualShock controls.
- Provide a separate set of deadzone options for ADS, again just like you did for the DualShock.
- Include a control option that swaps L1 and L2, as L1 to ADS is somewhat hard to manage while using the movement controller.
- Include an option to either elminate or restrict gun movement while in ADS. Right now, the combination of ADS deadzone being set to default and the gun wandering around the screen as you aim makes ADS nearly impossible with the Move.
These changes would make it a viable control method for the game.

If it weren't for that Playstation Move safety blurb that plays whenever you start Dust 514, I would have completely forgotten that it even exists. It's a sad excuse for a control system.
What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?
The pile of garbage is more lethal.

Only one shooter I know of has made good use the Move. SOCOM 4. Take note CCP if the Move is at all a priority.

Personally, when I think first person motion controls, I think Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the only game on the Wii I really loved. The control implementation in that game was nothing short of sublime, both easy to pick up and extremely rewarding to master.

+1, Move sucks in Dust, but other shooters demonstrated that it doesn't have to.

When you open the "gear menu", you can't move. This isn't the case with DS3 or KBM, so I'm not sure why it's the case with the Move, and it got me one of my deaths in that match.

+1 for metroid corruption. Loved it. Tempted to get the prime combo pack so I can get that control sceme for all of them.

I've been using the move since dust was in closed beta. they adjusted things a few times, but there hasn't been any progress on it for several builds. I think it drew the short straw as far as dev priorities go. I would bet money that no dev uses it because they would see how bad it is.
try using a large turret and you'll see how bad it really is. it used to be that way with swarms and small turrets too. the assault dropships only shot directly in front of the dropship in a front line - which was no where near where you were aiming. I didn't spec back into them, so have tested in 1.7.
it's a shame because it works so well in a lot of games.
