I want to support dust by buying a pack/AUR but I don't get anything worthwhile from it.
I mean what is in these I can really say was worth the cash?
Boosters are useless to me due to my high SP so AUR is out.
And everything in the packs run out, and I'd only ever use one or two items from it anyway.

buy faction boosters, then horde LP untill the market comes out and make bank
start an alt and buy boosters for it instead? that way you get way more SP to play with then you normally would and get to make an alt that does something compeltly different without spending SP on your main that can be spent in something that would benifit it? |

Us Eve players would pay to sleep on the damn bed that is apparently slightly smaller than our avatars. Hell, I'm willing to pay more to open that damn door that's been closed since 2011.

Snip Saaaaay whaaaaaaaat?
Boosters are always in fashion my dear forum compadre. I'm nearing an unfortunate 25 mil SP (6 mil being hoarded) and that isn't enough for when this game is completely changed again for Fanfest 2014!
If they had any rational booster pricing I'd put money down for that. Be it pack or straight up AUR purchase.

buy 1 copy of each of the fitted suits from the market (logicloop scout, shock assault etc). see what they're equipped with and then make the same suits. Each one comes out to about 5000 or less isk per fitting and is a great way to get ideas on what kind of play style you like.
Then go with LP or SP boosters.
Or if you really absolutely want to have a BPO, for 10 dollars you can buy the starter kit that comes with an "exile" assault rifle. It has the same stats as the standard assault rifle but it sounds cooler when you read it in the kill feed. |

I have one for you.
Buy an AUR pack and buy suits with it that you normally wouldn't use. Example: Commando. This will expand your horizon of playstyle. Or you can buy a lot of high-end AUR **** and just go crazy one day without having an ISK hit. You can lose those fittings without troubles. It's what I did with that AUR item sale that happened. I have a list.

This has been an issue for some time now and I think they are feeling the pinch. There were always two attractive things that could be purchased with aurum:
- boosters , in whatever variety - BPO's
BPO's no longer exist, and if you've bought any merc packs in the past you probably
a) Have so many passive boosters that you're set for the next six months b) Have enough SP that boosters are less and less attractive..
I have never, and will never buy expendable items. It seems such a paradox for them to exist since they enable you to buy items which you can't use yet, but if you can't use them yet, it means you are not effective with them on the battlefield anyway, so why buy them in the first place. Also add to the fact that you die often in this game then the value of the aurum items quickly fades...
It was good to see faction boosters appear, but then if you are fighting for a faction which isn't on easy-mode (Caldari or Amarr) then your booster will do you little good. Also your booster only gives you increased points per battle, not increased standing, which would have made it more attractive. At the moment, I will only purchase a faction booster once I've leveled up my ranking a bit, so that it has greater inherent value.
The CPM polled us for what we would like to spend aurum on a few months back but that issue kind of disappeared into the ether. I think there have been many good suggestions for the use of aurum so we won't go over them here, but as it stands, the currency is worth less and less.
Rolling out new skill strees (ie. new dropsuits, weapons) will make it more valueable, if only momentarily.
