Been playing Factional in EvE. Most pilots out there that I have talked to, have no idea about orbital strikes. It's no surprise to me why you never see them.
In EvE, finding a planet to drop an OB is nearly impossible. There is no way to search a battle out. If they don't have Dust 514 (a lot I've talked to don't play) open and searching out battles, your best bet is to jump from district to district, waiting for a battle to pop. (as far as I know)
This is not fun.
Though as a dust bunny myself, I find enjoyment in it because I truly understand the difference a good Orbi makes. Plus I get LP for dropping them.
EVE pilots need a way to see the battles going on in dust. As far as I can tell, there isn't anyway to actively find a dust battle EVE side.

I agree.
I have a recommendation though. In Eve Online, us capsuleers have something called Fleet Finder where any player can assemble an ad hoc fleet or search for a nearby fleet that suits their tastes. This has resulted in many organized groups creating emergent gameplay content for other players.
We should have something Dust-related that follows this concept for Dust perhaps called "District Finder" or something like that. Here, Eve Online players go to the District Finder to see which district is either about to have a match or has a match in progress. This way, Dust players can be confident that a fleet of Eve players will arrive to provide orbital support while at the same time allow even more emergent content as outlaws take advantage of hunting down ships that are doing orbital support since they'll know which district to go to.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?
