I'm not sure how this will affect us snipers.
It'll be nice to be cloaked in some sniper spots but I think we'll be sitting by ourselves doing little of anything during the game. How can you snipe a stationary cloaked dude, let alone a running cloaked dude? Right now I can reliably kill running targets, depending on lag, head glitching and evasive maneuvering.
I know some of you accuse us of doing very little but there are members of our community (dedicated snipers) who do much more than redline all game. How do you lock down an objective if the hackers are invisible coming, hacking and leaving?
Will vehicles be cloakable?
In fact, cloaking will make redlining (by everyone) and doing very little much more desirable because you can spawn in, put on a rubber band, then get a full ISK payout or the full 75 loyalty points.
I'd be really careful about implementing this, CCP.

Remember killers.
Cloaks don't stop bullets.
You still can be shot while in the so-called glimmering fake invisible mode.
Just saying
P.s. I'm a Bothan killer from way back.

Bothan spy Star Wars battlefront II.
Google it. It was 100% invisible. All you heard was the foot steps.

They were OP, but they also had OP "dirt throwing" guns which for some reason deals so much damage. |

Aww. That "disruptor pistol". That blow dryer would make MoFo's disappear. Literally!
I would tweak my sound effects up (so I could hear their foot steps) and run with the pilot. Drop juice all around me and go to town on that ass. They could not take a hit. Weakest character in taking damage.
Now that "War Hero" Bothan was OP. . Until it ran into a "War Hero" pilot .

Hoping more camo than cloak so you don't stand out like the Spy in TF2.

To address the issue of rubber band bandits, we just need to get rid of the passive gains given to players per match. These are the kind of gains you get just for being in the match followed by a complete overhaul of the SP weekly cap system. Alternatively you can just implement a tracking system like we have in Eve that detects signs of an AFK player and have them booted out automatically.
