All I am interested in is getting the range on the swarms adjusted. It is alright that the damage dealt went down. To me they probably did hit a little to hard. Tanks move faster now and are a lot tougher to take down...however not impossible. I am fine with the tanks however I am not fine with the dropships. The swarms are actually meant for anti-air. They are agile missiles. However since the range has been dropped so much the swarms are kinda worthless against dropships...not that dropships were easy to hit in the first place. And yes you can use a Forge Gun but that is not actually the purpose of a forge. We use missiles to take out aircraft not mortars. I know there will be lots of hate mail about this but I knew some real good tankers that had no trouble keeping my old range from hurting them. With the new speed and hardners for tanks, some more range should not be a problem for them. I also know good dropships pilots that could escape me before too. At the end of the day though I think what was done in 1.7 improved the game a lot. To the tankers...at the end of the day you all are right when tank hits the field it should be a serious threat...I think 1.7 improved that a lot. For the dropships...I think you should have more of an impact against tanks. |

Honestly, as a Proto swarm user, the range nerf was the one that bothered me the least.
Maybe a small 15 meter bump but that's it or just increase the dmg...

I do believe that the Swarm Launcher range does need a slight increase, just so that they are able to compete with Dropships and Tanks with NOS Modules. And aren't Caldari weapons supposed to be long range? That kinda breaks the lore.
As for damage, yes they have gone way too far.

Randge + could be good, 2nd volley on ds seems hardest. Im still averaging 3 to 4 tanks now ive got my game back a bit

as a tanker i have to agree that swarms are just pathetic now , they work well as a harrasing area denial weapon but do not have sufficient range to effectively carry out there intended purpose , on top of that it now takes 3 swarm shots from an adv swarm to kill a mlt LAV with 0 reppers or mods?......pretty pathetic , i think the travel time of the rockets needs to be buffed big time because a lav and even hav's are literally outrunning the swarm rockets which shouldnt happen! |

I have been spec'd into swarms since I got the game. Dmg is fine to me. I can still take out tanks with no problem as long as they stand still and with no hardners. When they put up the hardners it gets a bit tougher...as it should. However they should not be able to move in a sec flat out of my range. And once again as I said really i am not as focused on the tanks being a problem but instead the dropships. Thank you Wallaby1 for you backup. |

Make all swarms shoot 6 missles so std and adv versions arnt useless Mabey increase missle damage slightly across tiers

Caldari weapons are long range. Missiles won't have the same range as rails however.

Alright let me pose this question. Why do swarms need to do more damage?
Really what I am hearing is that without range you want to be able to do more damage faster since the vehicles can evade quicker. On the other hand we have my idea of doing damage slower but for most of the time the vehicle is evading.
To me I am using my swarms to keep the vehicle from causing an area of denial by forcing them out of the area or destroying it...of course. But either way I am keeping it away longer. Sry I am debating to myself now.

I guess in the end one or the other would work. However I will still say I like range more just for the fact that my 800hp suit doesn't line up well against 4000+hp. Lol. For assault dropships though the swarms need to do a whole lot of damage in that short amount of time.
At the end of the day though I am still going to say more range would be nice. I still feel that I am doing enough damage to be effective. Just can't do that damage long enough. |

Swarms have the same lock range as the dropship engagement range and follow to double that. That works for forcing a retreat. Just wait for WP for vehicle damage to come back and it'll be fair.
