Can't see myself ever going 20/2 to 30/3 kdr in any pub game, like most players I know of. Seem I only can do 6/8 kdr to 10/15 kdr even after going all proto suit and gear. Even after following behind the shadow so many great player for so long, I still don't know what I'm missing and what make them so glorious godly in every game going 18/1 to 40/2? What's the difference between me and them, is it because I have four eyes. If only someone can tell me why I can't get pass 10 kill.

I know how you feel, I was exactly the same for a very long time, then I hit a plateau very recently, I had my first 18/3 when usually most of my games would be like you say you experience. I honestly think a majority of it comes by pure determination and time.

I usually only perform well with a group. I'm terrible by myself.

I'm a heavy I let them come to me it amazes me at the AR logi's still rush hmgs now I go 20\1 most of the times until I come up against a good squad then tactics play in and it gets difficult.

Does it matter? you obviously pushed for the objective and redeemed yourself in terms of kills. Most players I wind up fighting beside end up doing neither

Forget about kills for a bit and try running an adv suit with high hp, but low dps (maybe logi +std/bpo weapon)
This way u won't be able to best many ppl face to face, but it will teach you survivability, only engage when ur confident and know when ur outgunned.
I found if I simpy focused on not dying (maybe try being the repper/scanner guy) after a week or so I would be getting 5/0 ( and a shitload of wp), and I was happy with that. Then put ur assault/asswhooping suit back on ppl will melt infront of ur weapon. But don't get too cocky, some ppl are just wired diffrent and will always stomp u without trying nomatter how much u practice.
Oh one other thing, if ur playing lone wolf ALWAYS let a blue dot rush in before you :) |

With the time to kill so low after the 1.4 patch we all had to change are game up. You have to use cover way more now and not run out in the open for to long. Some damage mods a nice little hill to fall back to and you can pick off redots all game.

i'd say your first move would be to drop your sensitivity until it's terribly slow.
then play behind your assault guys. play 50 meters behind them with a laser rifle or a rail rifle. something like that.
so you'll keep yourself out of direct danger, and assist the guys who are more comfortable in those face to face situations.
as long as you're getting assists for your team you're still alive.

My problem is not giving a ****. I have more fun that way. Heal, rez, resupply my bros is what I do. When we start winning and my services aren't really necessary, I start dickin' around with BPOs or cheap fits. Suicide runs into red lines, launching myself with derpships, seeing how long I can survive running around a pack of raspberries (while laying remotes), etc, etc, etc.
Found that when i'm trying i'm better than I used to be. Originally I was always at or slightly above a 1 KDR for each match, but now it's been jumping up to 3s and 9s. I think it's just knowing your limits. You see that guy has a bead on you and as soon as you step out of cover half your health is gone just like that? Best to move on partner and either get the jump on 'em or find someone else to kill.
Lore-wise: Calamari are my preferred. Amarricans are my despised.
Importantly: Frogs n' Brutes have all my stuff...

maybe those magnificent players are in tanks?
use tanks, ez mode. they even have modules for wallhacks, invincibility, 30% dmg mods, complete resistance to small arms, giant turrets for instakilling, 10x more speed, while costing less isk than a dropsuit.
I'd say thats about as EZ mode as it gets. |

I skimmed the thread so if this is already said **** you I'm busy at the moment just wanted to throw my two ISK out there.
Going 20-0 and 30-0 is a lot harder because the game is now Tank 514. If you see people with those numbers they are more than likely in a tank as it is now pretty hard to achieve those numbers with the Duvolle/Proto Logi combo that was the norm. Part of the problem is also the LP money people can buy proto suits with. Hell I have two skilled proto suits and 4 LP store bought ones. |
