Does anyone miss how Dust used to look like? (example at 13:20 mark) it was always so dusty and vision was obscured by copious use of explosives, the current dust looks too clean and colorful.
I want Mass Drivers to actually produce smoke when fired like it used to, it was absolutely perfect for obscuring vision and could be the perfect playground for a damped out scout to run in and shotgun everyones face in
I want orbitals to create massive smoke screens that engulfs a large radius like it used to
I want Forge guns to create massive dust clouds when fired at a vehicle or the ground, again, like it used to
I want Dust to be gritty, dark and dusty like it used to; I just cant get over the fact that Dust looks so... Clean and colorful
Its a game called Dust!
I'd be down for CCP to take equipment graphics waaaaayyy down and instead reintroduce the particle effects Dust used to have, it doesn't need to be pretty and if the old builds could handle these particle effects I'm sure this one could too
If we still had dust to obscure vision it would actually make sense as to why logistics units would be bright yellow, to easily identify in the dusty and cloudy environment; and black proto suits with its red eyes would be a fearsome sight to see through the plumes of dust and smoke
The only thing that obscures my vision now is all the yellow logis running around and god rays... its much too bright and beautiful in new eden
Anyone else feel this way?

Equipment graphics do need to be toned down in exchange for the stuff that matters. Honestly, it would make lag-bombing less of an issue too. Have a +1 for making DUST a more gritty place to live. :)

Yea those Nanos I've bubbles are so stupid. I loved the realistic looking explosions the everything. Beta dust looked better than this crap. |
