EVE has this thing called 'Tackle'. By using modules like: Stasis Webifiers, Warp Jammers, Nosferatus, Energy Neutralizers & Disruption Bubbles they can slow, stop, scram or even suck the life right out their foes and use it themselves. No BS!
Can you imagine webbing those speedy tanks and disabling all their modules? Or sucking all the 'stamina'(cap) out of a scout and forcing them to walk around? What fun things would you do with tackle?
DUST needs more tackle.I need more tackle. Do you need more tackle?

Been seeing more 'how to fix this or that' posts lately. They all boil down to nerf this or buff that.
I started DUST because of EVE. I continue to play DUST because of EVE. Without implementing EVE like features DUST will remain a poor representation of an fps clone. I ask what distinguishes DUST from any other fps clone? Lore isn't enough.
With implementation of Tackle, DUST can separate itself from the pack and become something unique and great. If it continues on this downward spiral of buffing and nerfing it will suffer the same fate as most fps clones, death.
We don't need more guns or numerical tweaks on currently existing gear. We need something new and totally revolutionary to the fps genre. I hoped that was what DUST was gonna be, I hope that one day it will.

i support anything that adds content (especially that which has a precedent in eve) diversity is good

"Tackling" should be limited to vehicles. There should be other "debuffers" for infantry skills. Also they'd have to think of a new set of "Tackles" specifically for Dust.

Well said. Eve attracted me to Dust and bridging play themes and lore from that game to this is ultimately what I'm looking for. |
