Make militia hulls cost more than standard hulls. Invest SP, get cheaper and better tanks. Equipment that effective for such a small cost is why we're seeing all of the tank spam QQ.

So people get to use better tanks, for cheaper than militia costs, and that's suppose to stop QQ? Sorry but I don't see this working.

it should have always been a vehicle progression system from lavs to tanks/dropships. this way to get in the most powerful gear you would have to spend sp not just a little bit of isk.
mlt tanks could have then been placed at that tipping point between tanks and top end lavs meaning a cheaper way to progress to tanks but an sp investment none the less.
the spending of sp on lav's would be detterant to most but for tankers it could have been balanced so as the lav skills benifitted the tank.
this would have led to less weaker tanks on the field and more of the better ones. obviously ot taking into account currrent av/tank problems but reducing the easiness to spam would help with the issue

I remember my Surya costing me nearly 3,000,000 ISK while my madrugar cost like 2 mil ISK.
Militia tanks cost around 300,000 ISK to be decent and a Standard tank was about 500,000-600,000 ISK |

Ya I can already hear the QQ now for more spam from tanks that kill more with less ISK than militia.
Militia is by design meant to be cheaper for new players that do not get enough incentive to stay as is. To the people that are mad that a TANK can kill them, get over it. There is no way you can be effective as an assault and AV at the same time. Good thing mercs are immortal and dropsuits can be fitted to suit different roles. And there is nothing stopping you from cashing in on a tank that costs less than your proto fit. People will QQ about anything they do not like. |
