First off, I am referring to pub matches, not FW. FW has its own set of issues... basically Caldari rewards aren;t good enough to cause people to play Caldari over Gallente, so those matches end up as ROFLstomps.... but I digress.
Running with corp members earlier in the day, we had a pretty easy time of it. The majority of matches ended in very quick redlines... or at least matches where we held the enemy to no more than one letter.
However, later in the day I was running solo... and I couldn't win a damn match.
Whether Ambush, Domination or Skirmish... I always ended up on the losing side. Looking at the team distributions, without fail, there were at least two corp-squads on the other team. Always. It almost looks like the balancing mechanic is to put corp-squads all on one team, and fill the entire other team with one-off players.
There was one Ambush match that had, literally, two squads of 6 plus a squad of 4.... it was basically a corp match, on the opposite team. On my team.... 16 different corps, more than half of them were NPC corps.
Now I know I'm not the greatest player, and I don't claim to be. I am not saying that just because I am on one team, that team should win. However, the "matchmaking" system shouldn't stack squads on one side, and singles on the other. That's just broken.
Anyone else seeing similar things?

I can't really remember a time where this does not happen. To make things worse "Scotty" our beloved matchmaker has a tendency to fill in the stronger team first. So I have been in (pub) matches where I joined a match with 6 on my side and 10 on the other side, but instead of putting new players to my side Scotty filled in the stronger team first...
As it seems CCP like unbalanced games. |

I agree, when i go into pubs with just myself, it's typically always a loss, but with a squad it's nearly always a win. |

I totally agree. I used to enjoy running solo in pubs. Now Its a chore. Besides the matchmaking, I hate getting thrown into a pub with 3 ticks left or 4 clones left on the losing side.

Folks, CCP has to get this playerbase down to zero by the end of 2014. The only way to do that is to run new players off and increase the negative word of mouth among the PS community.
Please, help them achieve this goal!
Maybe then we can get this train wreck in the right place with the right development.
Do your part. Join the revolution. Sabotage FW. Help this game burn!

The matchmaking sets up battles by putting squads together and non squads together. (Despite what ccp says, this is how Scotty is working right now)
Ie. 2 squads of OH and some randos on one side and a team full of randos on the other team.

I noticed the same thing! I consider myself lucky to win a match when I run solo.

Ditto, every solo match i can think of I've been paired against stacked squads even when they supposedly patched match making by patching their patch. ..
Has CCP even said anything about if their last fix even did anything ? It seems like to me its always been this bad.... |

I've noticed it. Running solo in this game is guaranteed to make you rage quit at some point.

No $hit Thanks for the intel
That kept happening to me last night, over and over. I thought the other team was sync'd. But they were... by Scotty. Who the **** is Scotty? What ever happened to the nice lady who introduced us all to this world... you know the one who trained us with invaluable infomation and videos... the one who tries to sell us the Au rum. Doesn't she intro Eve also?
Let her match make. I trust her. And she sounds HOT.
