A stroke of genius! - Trolling in ambush.

KingBabar The Rainbow Effect 1498	Posted - 2013.12.30 11:37:00 - [1] - Quote I've made myself some militia tanks, you know, as good as I can get them without any skillpoints invested, they have scanner, speed boost, hardener and more, and they only cost around 70 K isk! So I start the game and I call in 4-5 tanks as long as I spawn in a blue blob without any enemies in sight. I simply leave them there and and the bluedots will have a field day running my tanks all over the place. This will at least create some distraction for the enemy tanks so that I can og about my business wrecking the enemy infantry who now has to take all our tanks into account, making it a lot easier for me and I rarely have to face any enemy tank myself. Simply brilliant I tell you! You're not making a profit if you're churning out 350k isk a match, and even if you are, it's not enough to warrant wasting the time.

Well if I loose all 5 tanks thats a 350 K isk loss, granted, if I die 2 less times that same Battle I will save 410K isk on the suits, see? A net gain. Anyways, this isn't about isk efficiency at all. And wasting time? I like it, seems like great lateral thinking to me, its your isk to spend and I'm sure your team mates loved the naughty feeling they got from jumping in them and running off lol, hopefully your dropping a mixture of rail and blaster.

Simply brilliant I tell you! i Have a militia Soma with a Railgun and duel reppers. LOL It does the job. Even if it doesn't, the LAV in the map does. I have stopped touching my AV loadout. Waste of time and ISK. I can bring two Soma's at the cost of one AV suit

I'm trying to learn how to use the breach; it's not a weapon I've ever really used before. Killed one tank so far, in three matches - that charge time is hard to get used to. That's over 1 million profit in under 30min. 1) ambushes don't always last 5 minutes 2) if your team is destroying the other side, you aren't going to make 200k a natch on your logi gear since no one needs reps/spawns 3) pretty much everyone runs uplinks at least 1 suit per match, so you're kinda boned if you plan to have only yours get the spawns 4) if it's YOUR team getting destroyed, you won't be alive long enough to collect those rep/injector points Buff passive scans & fix TTK!
