This is the proposal for a project that I have dubbed, for lack of a better name, the Brooklyn Project. It, in essence, is to create the largest Remote Explosive cluster reasonably possible. In order to achieve this goal, a group of 32 mercenaries would need to be assembled, each with Aurum, Minmatar Loyalty Points, and the skill Demolitions V. Having access to Logistics class dropsuits also helps, but is not required. Each participant would need to purchase at least one of each unique Remote Explosive type, for a total of 9 (3 ISK only, 3 AUR, and 3 ISK/LP). In total, this equates to 36 deployable Remote Explosives. With 32 individuals in a single match able to deploy this, it would be a total of 1152 Remote Explosives. At 1500 damage each, the mass of Remote Explosives would have a yield of 1,728,000 damage. Needless to say, this is a lot.
In order to actually make this happen, a Planetary Conquest district would need to be used to ensure the gathering of the required people. In addition, the Friendly Fire would allow for the Remote Explosives to chain from a single source [Citation needed], and explode in a single massive blast.
I, however, do not have the required Aurum nor the Minmatar Loyalty points to make this dream come true, or, more importantly, a district to use. I ask you now, my fellow Dust Bunnies, to join me in seeing the Brooklyn Project to fruition. I will create a chat channel soon [tm] in order to orchestrate this event.
I also realize a larger yield could be attainable with people leaving after deploying their 36 and a new person joining, but I don't care. 1,728,000 damage is enough.

you forgot that you can also place proxies as since your using a district FF will activate the proxes as well.
meaning you have another 6 types of explosives per person... |

I COULD organize to rent a district if we all wana chip in some isk, or if anyone has mega eve dollars and wants to sponsor this experiment,even better.
it would probly cost you 1-200 mil depending on eve or dust isk and how long u wanted to keep it for.
...naming rights for the donated district owner or sponsor/s maybe?

I suggest informing one of the Devs ahead of time when you plan to do this. These kinds of mass events have the potential to place unnecessary drain on the server and for that reason is a violation of the EULA..

I'd love to see this ... make sure you get a few people in with recording gear and get some different angles on it, would be nice to see an MCC go bang from it, but I'm not sure it would be possible ... could become a new tactic if you can get it to work ... a full team sticky bombing a dropship then suicide piloting into the enemy MCC :-) |

I don't think that it would work against a MCC, but I will be sure to try sometime.

Certainly. I'm just passing along the word CCP Mintchip gave me when I tried to organize a systematic withdraw of the corp wallet with international players.
Is 6am PST the best time to hold an international DUST 514 event?
