Need to remove active scanner or redesign them. Cloaking is going to be useless if your opponent can still see you red marker

While I hate scanners, they're the counter to cloaking.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Or you can focus on profile dampening with the cloak. Why should you be able to use just one thing to escape my scanner? Do what you have to do or die.

While the scanner is INCREDIBLY useful, its real purpose is to counter cloak. For cloaking to be a beast, you have to sacrifice other mods and go for dampeners to be truly invisible. |

Although it doesn't need removing, it does need to be redone. Bind it to the suit precision, and make it a quick burst.

Considering that cloaking will be an equipment item and profile dampeners are low slot items, I can see the Gallente scout Gk.0 ruling the battlefield against the scanners.

That logic is a bit flawed. Look at it the other way...
"Why should you be able to just scan me while I'm under a cloak?"
Could you find a definite argument to why not other than cloaked players being OP, not because of how they're too easy to use or not enough CPU/PG but rather how you can't just pick up on them with a scan?
Excuse my actual bias on scanners but it's already easy to scan ANY and EVERYthing. Even Scouts can barely beat scanners and the payout for beating them isn't worth it sometimes. There's a major need for a re-balance with profile signatures.
If I could have my way, Cloaks would shield you for a period of time while also lowering your profile signature by a percentage. A combination of profile dampener modules and the actual cloak would be a healthy adversary against the Scanner, imo.
