Bouncing dropships are becoming an issue again. This is a totally bullshit tactic since an impact that is fast enough to catch a merc on the ground should be hard enough to ruin the dropship. As it currently stands though the dropships take almost no shield damage when smashing people. CCP bring back the massive impact damage against dropships. A pilot who has no gunners, and isn't flying an assault dropship, can use a smash the merc move but such piloting should come at a huge price to their vehicle. Stop this idiocy before it really gets going again. Fun > Realism

I landed my Python the other night, a little rough but I've slammed nose-first into buildings much harder, and it just exploded. No enemy interaction, not an especially noteworthy landing but just a straight up death and loss of half a million ISK because....because.

I love taking a dropship there and squishing everybody. Those that do survive either get pushed of or shot down.

These guys are intentionally landing on people at high speeds. This needs to wreck their DS. Think about it like a helicopter pilot. If a helicopter pilot were to come down hard enough to smash a person who is trying to actively get out of the way then they will wreck their helicopter. Similarly A DS pilot who does this should wreck their DS. Simple. Fun > Realism

I think all match I only managed to squish 3 people but even then every time it took such delicate manoeuvring to pull off. Do you even realise how difficult it is to do this now? Oh and by the way I lost a lot of militia derpships along the way so I think this is a total non issue.
