Large blasters need a range reduction. I know I've been hit for significant damage from 215m on foot and much father when in a dropship. If they had to get in closer to slaughter infantry the infantry would have a better chance of fighting back.

That was as far as i got in testing before I ran out of cover and was taken out by another blaster tank.

^ that's an AI blaster installation, another issue.
Longest tank blaster kill i've made is 140m, but that's a standard, proto might hit reliably to 200.

If you take away my range give me hit detection I hit some three times with a weapon that does 120 dmg per shot and bonus to shield and they will not lose 1 hp point of shield.

I can kill starter swarm fits at 180m no problem with a MLT Blaster. Considering the blaster is half the price of the tank, I almost always use MLT for anti-infantry now.
