Ive lost alot of my enthusiasm for it, Ive been playing BF4 the last few days and its really fun, COD Ghosts sucks, but bf4 with its vehicle selection huge choices of weapons and gear, huge maps with trees and grass, free xp boosts, no isk requirements and graphics, made me lose my log in bonus, first time in months. Im still a DUSTY but the change of pace is nice, you do have health and ttk is about the same, plus you have all of the logi elements, plus AWESOME vehicles you dont have to pay for. The game play of dust just doesnt flow yet, battles arent dynamic, even with all of our choices there are many built in limitations that force scenarios and map play to be repetive both in style and outcome.
In conclusion dust is getting better, but if you want a fun break, hit me up and lets roll to bf4. |

Now I play bf4 for multiplayer fun, warframe for some PVE awesomeness, or mine craft with some of the AE guys.

So much fun :D Exactly, FUN, not isk rage..... Well I never raged about ISK or losing proto suits. I have enough money to buy like 1k of each fitting if I wanted to. It's just that this game is no longer fun. It hasn't been for like 2 months now. In fact I don't think I ever actually had fun "playing" this game since 1.4 dropped (AA/Scout stamina nerf) I had fun.. But that was mostly just playing with friends and stuff. The game itself wasn't really doing anything fun. Regardless though yeah this game has improved slightly. Unfortunately the rate at which it is is kinda sad :/ I havent been playimg other games for months now, so when I did hop into battlefield I kept expecting really dumb bad **** to happen because dust had made me so gun shy, lmao, it hasnt yet, outside of a few annoying hard freezes. |

THE GREY CARDINAL wrote:Just relax and play the game. A lot of people have severely mismanaged their expectations with DUST and many react as if every update to the game is the final build. If you can't chill the duck out and play a game that has been stated from the start as a huge work in progress then go play finished retail shooters like BF4. What are you reading? I said the game is getting better and I am playing bf4. What is Dust the only game I can play? Pfft, be gone troll. |

Bf4 has surprised me with how tactical it seems to play, its not run n gun like cod because of all the elements at place. If you love ds or tanks in dust you will love, helis, jets, tanks, apc, gunships in bf4, I do anyway. The biggest stumbling block I often see with big-name shooters is the fact that each and every one of them has a new release that doesn't carry over what you did in the previous release. Dust may have a myriad of problems right now but it does have something these other shooters don't have. The ability to make your progress stay meaningful so to speak. Imagine reaching the highest level in Halo 3 only to have to start all over again in Halo 4. Once you have earned Mastery and reach SR130, then what? Halo 5 comes out on Xbox One and then all that goes down the drain because now you start over. The same for Call of Duty where you reached the highest prestige in Black Ops, but then Ghosts comes out and now you have to start over and unlock everything you had before for the upteenth time. Everything you did in the previous release no longer matters and that is what really drives me away from these big-name games. Yes, Dust is incomplete and it has a long ass way to go. But at least my progress transfers over to the next expansion and I don't have unlock everything for the upteenth time like in CoD for as long the Tranquility server is running. That's what I like to call "game data persistence". You have no idea how sick and tired I am with games that have me unlock the same thing over and over again with each new release even though I have been a supporter of those games for a long time. It's funny that a friend of mine showed me this one game called Patapon and she finally finished it. As soon as she got Patapon 2, I was like "look's like she's starting over". Then she found out that you can transfer your progress from the first version to the second version. She was all psyched out and she had tons of fun playing the game. Unfortunately when Patapon 3 came out it didn't have that feature due to the new format of the game which rendered the old game data incompatible. Oh well. NOTE: Patapon is not a shooter or MMO. It's just a portable game for the PSP. Did you miss the its FUN part?

Plus you get a new expansion with new weapons and vechles and maps. *why it's like a new game!* Yup. Bf3 and it's expansion bf4 is the biggest expansion one could ever hope for. Like KZ4 was an expansion to kz3. It's like new games! *I love how it keeps things fresh and people on their toes rather then get stale* why was that a rib at MMO games? Agreed, plus playing the big shooters can help your Dust game, since on max sensitivity bf4 and cod both turn aim and look much faster than Dust. |

I don't care about the fun part. If I wanted fun, there is always Dragonball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi which I got for Christmas (pretty addicting too). When it comes to shooters, I wish to see my progress port over to the next new release. Well all my passive skills do carry over from shooter to shooter, thats my aim. And though I get what your saying it really doesnt hold true in Dust when CCP changes what you skilled to the point you dont want it, its just the same as going from mw2 to mw3. Bacon is to Jihadist what garlic is to vampires, if you ever wonder wow is that tuna eating dude going to blow me up, just offer em a blt, and you will know. |
