Was playing a dom with a mate, he was driving a tank.
A scout placed a RE on him.
To "wash" his tank i've thrown a flux to him, but the RE exploded.
I've always thought that flux grenades, were able to "wash" equipment, but probably i'm wrong.

naw you detonated the RE with the flux by disrupting the arming mechanism.

fluxes dont detonate REs they disable them. If those REs blow up then they were probably detonated by the scout.

Flux grenades do detonate remote explosives. I know this because I run flux grenades and remote explosives all day.

So there's no way to disable them without detonation?
I feel like some that DO would be useful grenades to have.

Detonation happened in when flux exploded, i don't believe in coincidence.

Flux Grenades do detonate Remote Explosives. I run Flux Grenades 95% of the time. If you 'clear' an objective with Flux then it detonates any Remotes in the blast radius. It will also kill any players (friendly or enemy) caught in the RE blast zone. So be mindful when you clear them.
Of course, I always chuckle when an eager Blueberry goes down that way. I figure the Remote's owner would have probably gotten them anyway  .
Anyway, next time you should 'wash' the tank with Flux first and then have your Scout buddy set his remotes for maximum effect. |

No, i was with the tanker, my friend told me to flux him, nothing happened because i was far and he was full hp, but we both believed that flux did not detonate RE, but only disable them.
Apparently many other believed the same.
