I've seen the caldari scout from the front with a bolt pistol, ( and others who pages attention caught glimsp of it before the pic got taken down) but she looked weird but highly effective.

My question is what possible scout role bonuses would these two races have.
+10% Stamina for the Amarr maybe but precision for the Caldari? That would not work.
Scout / Condor / Lentarr Legionnaire / LAV Driver
Use: Scrambler Pistols, Assault Rifles+Variants, Mass Drivers

I have no idea what the Amarr scout's bonus will be, but with that limited slot layout it better be good. Knowing CCP it will be a % increase in cardiac regulator efficiency.
Precision for the Cal scout makes sense... but is completely useless in its current state. CCP is going to have to expand the uses of profile and precision to more than just passive scanning (like making them determine the effectiveness and resistance to Jammers, LOS spotting, etc).

Precision is a low utility stat as it stands, I'm hoping that they just make it more useful / effect more mechanics (similar to how dampening stat directly helps cloaking)
I threw this on the scout forum but this was mentioned in the dev blog

The way it is worded it sounds like the scout bonus is going to be replaced with a cloak fitting reduction. Also if you look at the "Individual race skill bonuses" you see lower scan profile listed so this enforces the idea that the general scout bonus is changing and that just one of the racial scouts is getting a profile reduction. As for the other race bonuses, I am assuming an active scanners bonus due to the usage of the word "longer" scanning, it also sounds like there is going to be a scout that will even use the cloaking better than the other scouts with less shimmer
Of course I might be reading too much into his sequences but its hard to ignore it entirely.

Target painting in Eve is technically Minmatar (which is weird when you consider that the Active Scanner is Gal tech), and Caldari are known as for electrical warfare due to the fact that ECM and ECCM (jamming and jamming resistance) are the strongest form of EWAR.

That sounds terrible
only one scout will be able to subvert a protoscanner without stacking several dampeners? Just terrible. And a role bonus applying purely to one piece of equipment is very unattractive, basically forcing you to use the cloak.
The whole idea of cloaking sounds just ruinous to me though so I am heavily biased against such a change. I think that the profile role bonus should forever stay because it is a good one and every scout deserves it regardless of type.
But that is what the dev said so I guess it's only a matter of time until I either accept the cloak or quit.
