The amount of times I've joined Pub - the screen begins to load and either:
a) I load to find that one MCC is 30 seconds from destruction or .. b) Before load completes - I hear the words 'mission failed .. MCC destroyed .. tech net shutdown' *slow hand clap*
I appreciate that not all things are as simple as they seem - this is an easy fix right? Set a threshold & gives users the option as to whether they want to join any match below that level?
Today, first match, I had b) happen to me ... at which point the client got in to a state and failed to recover. Required a reboot. Poor.
As for the balance of matches .. that's another frustrating story. It 'feels' broken to me. Probably much more difficult to resolve.

I like the idea of setting something like: if MCC armor < 50% (and shields completely gone) or if clones < 25% (in both cases the map is 75% over) , as options to NOT be put into those games. Seems like a simple trigger with minimal downside, especially if you set the threshold low enough (ie: if you set the threshold as 'game just started but is in progress' it could lead to unbalanced teams if people leave, but at the end of the game, if people leave, it's not going to matter, and it will save frustration on the parts of people who don't want to join a game thats almost over. Less frustration = less players leaving the game = more potential income for CCP.) |

The matchmaking system is severely flawed. I get the same results as you mentioned, often too. I seem to have the bad luck to get put in a battle where there are 2 or 3 corp squads and its just me or 1 or 2 other blueberries. Matches to be fun should be based on the SP/WP of the people in the matches. |

I can't tell you how many times me and my squad have spawned into a match only to find that there's no one on the other side to fight. |

Just last night I was thrown into a match where I was the only person in the match vs 2 full squads... Again.... This time 1 full squad backed out of the game leaving a 6 man corp squad and a solo |
