... How anyone thinks matchmaking is ever going to be balanced in a system that pits a full squad of Nyain San (or similar corp) against a team of completely unsquadded randoms? Can any dev justify why there isn't a mode for solo players (predominantly being comprised of new players) can play against other solo players?
What lapse in judgment does it require to think there's any way to balance that?
For that matter, why is there often two full squads on one side of the game, and 16 randoms on the other? Is CCP so daft as to not consider squad composition the most critical part of matchmaking balance, which it is? Can it not just realize "DURRRR, I should put a squad on EACH side of the match"?
It really doesn't seem to be attempting to balance teams at all. It's not even trying. What the heck does matchmaking do anyways? It's certainly not actually making matches.

As cute as your response is, the reality is, full squads in pubs are making players leave the game long before they even figure out what the squad finder is, much less join a corp.

I'm all up for this. I wouldn't mind being a lone blue berry if i get to watch 2 full squads of 0uter.Heaven go up against 2 full squads of sver or Ancient Exiles. This would add so much action if top players were constantly at each other. |

You cannot balance squads with solo players. And whether you like it or not, there's a massive number of players in this game playing solo matches.
In FacWar, squadded organized play is expected. But highsec/public contracts need to be squadless so players playing alone, and especially newer players, have room to play.

and for the record i hardly run squads and i suck but im okay with that

Exactly, remove squads entirely from that game mode, it doesn't split matchmaking, but balances the game far better.

Good for you. Most people aren't, and their response is to quit the game.

FW? There is not much to match when everybody is playing for Minmatar and Gallente.

Removing squads from public contracts would push a lot of tryhard squads to playing FW, which would help improve the matchmaking pool for FacWar.

Yes, I play solo always and before I even get off the warbarge I already know whether I will win or lose the match by which corps teams are on the opposing side.

No pubs need to allow for squads too since you need the isk from pubs to fund your FW habit.

Then you wouldn't find a match at all I guess. Atm the game has to wait until it found enough terribads to fight for Amarr / Caldari.
