This is cool, nice one.
Something that might take a lot of work to add, but make it really useful (to relative vehicle newbs like me at least) is a way of comparing the various meta level variations. For example, you could describe, either in words, or stats (or both) the differences between the militia small missile turret and the standard variant.
At a glance, "what do I gain if" comparisons for understanding what to put SP into would be sooo useful, and I've not yet seen anywhere that makes it easy to compare. Keeping it up to date will be a lot of effort I would imagine.
Any thoughts on hooking into the SDE (static data export) that was made available recently? That might help automate some of that if it's a direction you wanted to go in.
I like it though! |

I might have to make it known I'm a total bad and anything more than putting words on a page stumps me, G Torq tried to walk me through something to do with the SDE I think, and by the end I was more confused than when we started. I will look around as I do believe G Torq actually has that feature on his website, allowing you to compare items easily.

A spread sheet might be able to accomplish this. I'll check it out later, and see what some other options are. It would be nice if we had something that required limited input from the user, something like a drag and drop, or selections from a drop down menu. Then it does simple calculations between the two items, showing differences in PG/CPU, damage, cooldown, ect.
End result being a nice graphical representation of the data, that requires minimal input from the user.
Sounds like fun though, I'll help ya out if I can. As far as SP goes, that's gonna need a bit deeper thinking.

K thanks because I have all my tank fittings worked out and with a possible infantry respec next patch I'll dump all that into tank skills and will have everything I want maxed and start speccing into DS which I have no idea how to fit.

Yeah I checked it out, it's linked in his community spotlight: http://dust514.com/news/blog/2014/01/community-spotlight/
You can compare items :)
If you know the item id, you can just link to the comparison page directly: http://dust.thang.dk/showgearcomparison.php?gear=351310,353800
Anyway sorry for hijacking your thread ;-)
