I understand that to begin trying to take districts in DUST the CEO must be registered in faction wars. I did that, but to do so it said I had to withdraw the corp from the EVE alliance, I did that.
Then it said I had to register the whole corp in faction wars, I did that.
Now I can buy clone starter packs in DUST and can see who currently controls districts in DUST etc., but cannot rejoin my old alliance, nor will it let me sign the corp up to join ANY alliance, even DUST based ones, I get a message like this:
" APPLICATION IGNORED:
Your application to join the alliance has been ignored as the alliance is engaged in factional warfare for a different faction than that of your corporation."
I get that instant message from both my old alliance and any alliance I have tried to join.
Whats going on here? Please help very confused.

That is incorrect inorder to take districts in molden heath you do not have to be in factional warfare they are not connected in anyway. You did not have to do any of that.

You have to leave FW to join an alliance.
