If you don't mount little turrets or if you are moving, 8 times out of 10 you will kill your teammates. Please CCP take a look at it.
I suggest to put spawn location on the side of the tank, not in front and not behind, on the left or the right, but 3 meters distant.

hahahahahah this happened to me and the only time iv been kicked from fw was because of my mcru, I was out with darken my ceo and I was heading towards an objective when I came under rail fire , just after I announced that a cca rail gun was getting hits on me Darken tried spawn on my tank with a forge gun and pow screen goes blank and im sent to the merc quarters. off course im still on coms and darken tells me that I just road killd him , so I start laughing , then darken like a true hero tried to save my tank and put it to good use after spawning across the map from it he rushed to it like a man possesd , got there and climbed in only to be booted seconds later for teamkilling someone with the mcru we both pissed ourselves laughing.

I use a mCRU on my LAV in FW. I haven't roadkill mCRU TK'd yet and most of my time is in FW.

You are very lucky I've mounted a mcru on a soma, movements are "limited", most of the time you go forward or backward, so the problem must be that people spawn in front of you or on your back, also with a LAV you are fast enough to be somewhere else when people spawn.

Hello and Happy Holidays: Your information has me interested, because I have an mCRU fitted on a LAV I haven't used in the field yet. According to the description, PROVIDED YOU HAVE A FREE SEAT in your vehicle, the mCRU will allow players to regenerate IN one of the seats of the vehicle.... if there are no available seats left, the mCRU is supposed to be inaccessible for clones to utilize.
In the past, the mCRU could NOT be used in some vehicles (I think players reported that it would be FITTED in the vehicle, but then simply couldn't be accessed to regenerate). It's not supposed to plant you OUTSIDE the host vehicle, is it?
(If this is what's happening, then you ought to report this in the TECHNICAL BUG section, and have it seen to.) |

Why do you have an MCRU in your tank? There's so many other modules that could be better suited for it...

Good question, Shayz. For some of us it's an attempt to be "coop". A DANGEROUS, risky attempt, because we can't control the type of person who's going to spawn in our vehicle, but... the chosen style or way we use our vehicle sort of requires a back-up gunner in the vehicle with us. (At least it DID before patch 1.7, unfortunately).
Some HAV operators don't shoot, gimp and flee from a fight---they like to flank or plow in direct support of their infantry--they know this risks the enemy sneaking in behind them, and so they would give real money to find a GOOD turret gunner who can commit to keeping the red fleas away from the HAV's rear end.
...Doesn't always mean you'll invite a useful gunner, but for that style of HAV driver, the mCRU at least gives them a CHANCE to have SOME sort of gunner. |

Experiment, i've fitted a cheap soma with the mcru to provide a spawn when my team don't have objectives, it's useful if you have a decent team, you can kill nearby infantry with your blaster and in the same time make your team spawn near a objective.

I've tried the same fit in public contract, THEY SPAWN INSIDE YOU, like if you have a free seat, this is the problem.
