When your clip is empty, instead of having the game reload for you, have the player hit the reload button so he/she can reload.
A good example is with the plasma cannon. It automatically reloads for you. Just a small change.

This would be good if you could toggle it on or off.
Just in case someone likes auto reloading. |

How about causing reload to drop your remaining clip, if it's weapon with clips?
I don't care about auto-reloading, but that would really fit the nature of an EVE-derived game. |

I'm not really sure what your asking. On default controls the square button is the reload for both vehicles and infantry.
Have I missed something?

A small problem I find is the auto-reload when the magazine is empty. We should have control of our guns. We won't be able to shoot until we manually reload. It would be nice if you waste 4 bullets and you reload, you would lose the remaining bullets you had in the mag. bullet conservation. |

Me likes auto-loading so yea, make it optional.
Making it more like CoD would be nice too. You auto reload but if you cancel (sprint/melee/climb/vault) you will have to manual reload.
