I'm talking about two weapons 2 hands, 2 weapons, but only certain weapons. Like smgs, flaylocks, pistols, mini shottys like the ones in COD, also sacrificing some damage output for straight badassery. And you should be able to move quicker. I think meds and light/scout would obviously be a better fit for this. Would like some feedback.

Oh yeah, I can't wait to use my duel weild smgs to mow people down, get EPIC killstreaks and make explosions with melee (but don't look at it, cool guys don't look at explosions).

Halo 2 started a revolution when it brought out dual wield. I remember my favorite pick was the Covenant rifle and the smg...or for quicker deaths, it was the SMG and the pistol. It was the judge and jury.
But in all honesty, no. Dual wielding was fun for a certain game but for Dust 514, it just doesn't fit to me.

If they do hipfire right then we'll have at most 10m optimal SMG's, maybe 15m scramblers, and flaylocks wouldn't be impeded.

Yep, I've been saying for awhile that the commando suit should have been a dual wield light suit.
The light suit should be the only one to allow this. I've been running the closest thing which is a light suit with two SMGs. Switching them as I'm out of ammo.

Make a suit that only has two secondary weapon slots but can dual-wield any of them. Naturally, you'd be an idiot to get two weapons that aren't of the same type, (Flaylock + Nova knife?) but this game isn't about hand-holding.
Dual-wielding frontloads damage but vastly increases reload times and prevents aiming down sights.
Perfect for a scout who wants to sacrifice CPU/Energy points for some more chances at surviving a random encounter with one or two enemies. |
