In case anybody didn't know, this is a fun way to deal with those annoying dropships who keep getting in the way of your RDV's.
can't beat the bang for your buck but on those militia rail tanks.
Red line it, damage mod it, who cares if you're "weak" (but still tanky as hell).

Awhhh Yeahhhh.
Invincible and ready to snipe DS from 500 meters.
Its easy, relaxing, zero risk and nullifies noobs with their years worth of mistaken SP invested into aerial vehicles.
Do yourself a favor this holiday season. Sit back, crack open a beer. Call in a relaxing rail tank and go fishing for DS tears.

Heh just finished a map with my pilot Gotyougood Ufkr, they did that to me. Right up until I landed and called in my rail maddy. Militia HAV's nom nom nom.

Only ever gotten 2 kills with a tank, one redline rail tank that was annoying me, one Dropship that was annoying me. Both time I just spawned MCC, called in a base sic a with no adjustments to what comes with it, killed the other Sica/python, Called LAV, recalled tank, went back to playing Dust.
It felt dirty, but when proto swarms do nothing to Dropships and it's easier than skilling into heavy/forge. Plus I don't have to find a supply depot to change out when I'm done.
I'm sorry for DS pilots, but here is a word to you. If you kill me in a skirmish, I will spawn back in my redline and remove you. I had no beef with you before you killed me, then you made it personal.

These threads rock because they show who's still naive enough to think redline failtanks aren't the single biggest crutch in DUST

Except infantry are so tiny to DS pilots that it's actually less personal than someone killing you with a dropsuit.

Also, it doesn't matter how you justify it. Swarms do fine against Dropships. Swarms do NOT do fine against Hardenedvehicles. |
