how the 1.7 patch notes have 27k views in a 3-5 k player game even though there should at least be around 8-10k people in total even though most quit but still, even if that's so why do we get so many views when obviously only a portion of dust and the people still on the forums will look at it.
just saying, I can totally make good reasons/explanations to why but im not
(assuming it counts every time you click on it or not)

I would imagine it counts as a view every time you click on it, whether you have seen it before or not. That or people are getting way too serious about growing alts.

we see around 3-4k players on, but there's probably around 10k that play this game on any given day.

Exactly. Eve Online currently has well over 500,000 subscribers, but due to timezone differences, only about 40,000 log into Eve on any given hour with about 20,000 being it's low point on average.

For now? yes.
However.
Going foreward in April theres little point to the PS3 when the PS4 does it better.
I.e. a single FtP shooter on PS3 versus three free to play shooters on the PS4 and many, many AAA games coming out in 2014 that are either PS4 only or also on the PS4.
