EVE Online does a lot of things right.
The skill order is a bit more complicated, but it's a lot less painful and has a lot more factional integrity. The tech system is a bit more difficult to implement, but far better in terms of game balance. The fitting system isn't as clear-cut, but it allows for a lot more fitting variety.
CCP Shanghai, please adopt some techniques from EVE Online. They've been continuously polished for over 10 years, and quite frankly many of them would work better than what is in Dust 514 right now. |

+1, though i don't know what specifically are you talking about, however i also have sometimes the feeling that there is not eve-dust consistency, for example:
Caldari are the users of missiles, this means that for example, the minmatar having the flaylock pistol makes no sense, yeah, minmatar have some torpedo ships such as the typhoon, but being faithful to the lore, caldari where the ones that developed the tech so... besides, there is already a minmatar sidearm, the SMG, making the flaylock pistol would make sense regarding the lore and also give the caldari a sidearm wich they dont have yet. The caldari having the railgun tech does make sense because previous the caldari-gallente war, the hybrid (both blaster and railgun) tech was developed by gallente and caldari together, but still, caldari are mainly missile users, so their weapons should be all missile based.
Consistency regarding the skilltree, on eve, inside the gunnery skilltree we have a few skills that support all the guns, such as trajectory analysis, surgical strike, controlled bursts, motion prediction, rapid fire and sharpshooter, from these, the ones controlling the cap consumption, the rof and the tracking make no sense in dust, but the ones that control the optimal and the fallof do make sense, as a general skill which should apply to all weapons, besides its specific skills like kick reduction, spread, and it also bugs me that there is no skill that control heat buildup on amarr guns, but this would be offtopic to speak about in here. Also, there is no skill that regulates the moving speed... and lots more that make absolut esense to be in dust but they aint...
It also makes no sense that for example, amarr starting fits come with gallente gun... WTF
And more i could say but i dont wanna write a wallpost.

Cya o/ Well, missiles don't really work for rifles, so it only makes sense that they use railgun technology for many of their weapons.

A while back (I'm talking 20th century, here), the United States military was researching ways to create weapons that shot miniature rockets instead of bullets. The main issues were high costs and low accuracy, but that can be hand waved in a science fiction shooter like Dust 514.
What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?
The pile of garbage is more lethal.

Yeah, those need to be fixed now that we have guns like the Scrambler Rifle and Laser Rifle. Those should come stock with the Amarr suits, not a Gallente assault rifle.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

It'd take a bit Stamina might have to replace cap if CCP doesn't want to add too much, but an Independent cap would be nice, It'd fill mid (high) slots
