REs are a one hit kill guaranteed in infantry vs infantry battles. Why not have something that 1 shots vehicles?

if this happens tanks go away and never come back instead of being a buncha OP chuckleheads.
I do not want to see HAVs marginalized out of the game, nor do I want to see them being THE dominant force in the game. |

They should make friendly REs detonate when shot by friendly fire if they are on a hostile vehicle......have a scout or logi load it up with remotes and have a forge hit it.......KABOOOOOOM...dead tank
And it must give the forge credit in the kill feed |

On 1.6 and before I could one hit kill a poorly built militia tank with a breach forge gun. It didn't happen often, but when it did it was very gratifying. Alas, my breach forge has been placed on the shelf alongside the flaylock pistol and laser rifle.
The problem is that people need a longer time to kill to actually feel that they have some importance and gives them a chance to actually use the mods that they have worked so hard to equip. Tankers want this as much as anyone else. The irony is that they don't feel the rules should apply to them when they are on the offensive. So they think it's perfectly normal that they can one hit kill almost everything, and anything left is usually dead in less than a second. They think we should stop "whining," and just "adapt." It's not the tankers fault though, it's a problem with human nature.
Please give tanks some balance

Easy to kill vehicles = no more vehicles = wasted SP on AV. Now AV is a viable role to run 24/7 short of getting WP for damaging vehicles, more anti-shield AV and the plasma cannon having an AV identity. If you can OHK vehicles, all that goes away.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

You can see the RE on the map, if you are to dumb to shoot it before you approach, you deserve to visit the clone farm.

I don't agree I takes some practice to sneak up on enemy and kill them with an RE and courage to run into a group and throw one down before you die to clear them out for your team to hack it

This coming from a pro-AV crowd person: No. As much as I hate the OP nature of tanks as they are now, this is simply way too drastic. AV needs a boost, perhaps to the pre-1.7 level, perhaps a bit less, but this would marginalize tanks. |

I must reiterate, NO!
I want CCP to make AV versus tanks to be a godawful fight that is anyone's game potentially based on skill.
I do not want easy mode.
I also do not want supercaps 2.0 which is what tanks seem to be ATM. |

I stopped using my tank alt in this build. It became very boring. Proto breach forge with lvl 5 spec and 3 complex damage mods will bring a tank to within an inch of is life. If the tank starts looking for me, it dies. If it runs then I try again when it comes back.
My heavy alt with a breach and some random commando with a swarm were able to kill enough tanks that they stopped bringing them in. Also, we had enough firepower and HP to deal with any lone reds who came after us.
Killing tanks is easy if you alpha them. Fire a swarm and release your breach forge shot right before the swarm hits = dead tank. It takes 0.5-2 second for the tanker to activate one or all hardeners. Most of them tend to just sit there while this is happening. If they have low enough HP you can charge and fire a second breach shot. Combined with any other form of AV it'll work.
Breach Forge Gun, bring a friend.
What worries me is that these are militia and basic tanks. |

I'm somewhat skeptical about your post. In part because you're running 3 complex damage mods, and any reasonable heavy knows that's not possible. I also wonder if you're really wobbling around the map waiting for the tanks to find you. I guess it's possible, but I'm sure you're pretty weak against any infantry you come across in the meantime. Maybe you just rock with a sidearm. It's possible, but I don't think it's as easy as you make it out to be. And most will probably not be successful doing it.
Please give tanks some balance
