The Shotgun isn't that bad actually, Just framerate and lag.
Nova Knives are amazing in my opinion if you are fast enough

Same with the Nova Knives but I think that's because of my internet lag. Other than that, I love the knives :) |

I dropped SG back at the respec, and focused on sidearms. The Black Eagle keeps tempting me to spec back into it though.

I will join the rest and say that NK is usable - not in all games and def not as primary but after increased scout passive scout range it's totally possible to sneak up on ppl with NK.
Btw, just to self promote a bit. I run as min scout with PLC and NK as my main set. I challenge anyone to give me a better easy mode than this.

Flaylocks are just so terrible. Only have proto with max skills are they even decent. But a std or advanced smg can out do it everytime.
Also, yeah the shotgun isn't bad. The shots not registering and it taking more then 4 shots to kill heavies and 3 to kill mediums are the only real problems.

Mass Driver was never super nerfed. It certainly lost its chromosome feel, but it fricken works.

The shot gun is still good though it does need a damage and or range increase, at the moment theres nothing wrong with Nova Knives (Being able to sprint with a charged KN would be nice). The core flaylock pistol is alright when you actually hit your target though it definitely could do with a damage or blast radius increase. (Its great for finishing off people with low armour) |

MD still works. I just think most people tend to underestimate it a bit. The curving trajectory and (admittedly minor) splash damage stacks up. The flay lock has less possibilities but is still useful. Especially against heavies. |

Agreed. It took a strong indirect nerf with blast fall off. Enough the Adv stopped feeling right, no clue how the proto are doing.
I keep thinking the Flaylock needs to have the operation skill changed. The blast radius skill doesn't make sense anymore. Make it like the Scrambler Pistol. If not that then at least an increase in mag size.

SG & NK can work if you have a scanner(not well but you can 2+ KDRs easily enough)
MD works great against anyone who isnt in a suit w/ 900+ EHP.
FP requires prof5 3dmg mods to do decent(yes it can be decent actually), while having a duel weilded Minny assault Mk.0 actually makes it very good,(fit- 2 core FP, 3 complex dmg mods, 2 complex shield ext., 2 complex or enhanced armor plates, best nanohive possible to fit.) |

Try running nova knives on std commando.
Also, my NK fit is twin damps, damage mod and a complex dm mod, so i hardly rely on speed or hp.

They never seem to change much in effectiveness (now that they were fixed and got that clip buff a while back)

The SMG and ScP are way better. and it takes less SP to get, and they don't have to be proto to be reliable.

MDs has had its fair share of ninja buffs/nerfs, but the reason the community sees it in so many different lights, is because suit changes and other weapon changes have made them seem more or less powerful. The MD seems to be affected the most when the game goes through a change |

I dunno, Flaylock/Nova Knives is about as hardcore as it gets. You have knives for CQC, and a nerf pistol (LOL) that is only effective versus weakened targets at close range.
