my suggestion to buff tanks to usefullness is:
firstly buff all small turret's keep all small turret fitting skills separate from small turret operation skills (this would allow for non vehicle users to buff the vehicle operation while not wasting masses of sp in skills they cant and wont use by not driving vehicles) apply all crew combined shields,arm/shield regen(essentially you plug your suit into the tank to apply your stats to it) to the tank stats while the crew is inside. make all small turrets ineffective against vehicles make all main turrets only effective against other vehicles
now we have tanks needing 400k+ isk in enemy suits etc to take you out in your 400k+ suits/tank etc to take them out
4 enemy tanks would = 2 full squads against 2 full squads in av dedicated to take them out.

You're suggestions arn't well thought out.
You realise that only tanks get those big main guns so ultimately you are suggesting that LAVs and Dropships can't damage tanks at allGǪ

My suggestion would be learn to shoot.. tired of all you vehicle users trying to get your own way. it is a damn FIRST PERSON SHOOTER... last time i checked you could not hack a point from a tank... always the guy looking for an advantage that bitches.. tanks, drop ships, kb/m user ( especially can't stand this group. go play a pc game if you want to use kb/m.. wanna play console learn to use your thumbs) and protos.. i am glad that some of the big corps were knocked out of pc, that way they can't fund their proto habit and you get to see just how useless and easy to kill they are without it... went up against a squad of stb and for the first time i was able to go positive.. how does it feel to be mortal ladies??? so stop all the bitching and hiding behind gear.. tanks and drop ships are support vehicle and should not dictate the battle.. ask the poor sap that tried to deploy his drop ship and took a round to the head. |

its a half troll post with some seriousness.
how many anti tank lav's do you see on the battlefield. same goes for dropships. if you look at it those 2 vehicles are the only 2 where you can kill the crew without killing the vehicle.
lav's become the infantry killers, dropships become the infantry and lav killers (kill the crew and the vehicle is as good as dead). who is to say assault dropships couldn't be made to fit large weapons. this puts them in a temparary anti air/tank role untill fighters come. tanks now become the kill everything role but they have to fit for it. cheap throw away anti everything tanks are no more.
av squads are now actually viable and can actually survive long enough to offer up effective av deterance without the main turret moving them down after the first shot. tanks can kill tanks very effectively no matter the fit but they must carry crew to protect themselves from av. its only fair that if squads need to carry masses of av to protect themselfs from tanks then tanks should carry ap players to protect themselves from av. its more balance than we currently have
tank drivers main purpose now is to kill tanks,lav's and dropships. his crews main role is to kill av before it kills the tank. tank driver isn't losing any wp because he is getting all the assists and 6 eyes are better than 2 at spotting av or targets.
