They're called civilian modules. But they are so weak that hardly anyone but the first-week players ever use them. Also, DUST may be operating under the same philosophy or ideology as Eve Online, but DUST is still technically a fps game. Some things in Eve work well for DUST, but there are some other things that need to be adjusted in order work well in DUST. For example, we may need more militia items in DUST than in Eve. OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?
