Everyone has heard this before, there's a lot of lag issues in Dust 514, and quite a few corporations like ot use it to their advantage in battles through the mass spam drops of equipment on the floor like a man with a few screws loose would lose his marbles everywhere.
I can solve this issue easily, as my game doesn't lag pretty much AT ALL, thanks to my crappy TV not being able to use HD settings. o3o
So...here it is: If you're going to say something about the lag festivals that you get every so often in the matches, and celebrate their joyous occasions, you can stop right there. Back out of your game, go to your PS3 settings, in the XMB Menu, scroll down to Display Settings, and in that menu, right at the top, ever so hard to miss just as a soccer ball would hit your face, is Video Output Settings, in the description, on the bottom of that option is "Current Output Resolution: xxxxxx." If it says 1080i, or 1080p, go into it(in other words, press X), and it will give you several choices on your video input. Out of the pictures that show up for the different options, choose the option that hooks up to your TV, and looks like the ports you use on your TV. NOT THE HDMI, because that's what makes you LAG ever so horribly.
Now, in the next option, it will ask you to choose the TV type. This is the dimensions of your TV screen, for example: Mine is a 4:3, if you have a flatscreen, it would be 16:9. (This is all based on the Composite / S-Video option that I use). And then it will ask you to confirm the selection, etc. etc. and accept.
NOW, most of you might complain that the graphics are HORRIBLE, well...apparently, Dust 514 works with a ps3 like an MMO would with a computer. Lower the graphics output, you get better, and smoother gameplay. Therefore, problem solved. So...everyone who is complaining about the said lag issues, they are not lag, they are frame drops because your ps3 and internet are having a few issues supporting you and your need to have AMAZING GRAPHICS! All of you who are not going to try this, I feel sorry for you. Those of you who say, "Oh, I like this, I can sacrifice graphics for smooth gameplay anyday!"
