... So, long TTK and god awful hit detection is alright? What he's saying is that although a long TTK may be preferable, it's not if it's because of shoddy hit detection and suchlike. He seems to have carefully avoided making a specific statement on TTK as it stands - he hasn't said that long TTK is bad, nor has he said that short TTK is bad.
You're assuming too much.

The point that he was making is that a long TTK due to crappy hit detection and poor framerate is not fun. Which is true. If you hit something, the last thing you want to see is blue shields and the enemy at 100% health.
CCP just needs to find a balance between having fast TTK without undermining player fittings. The player needs to be able to feel a difference between equipping one module over another.
The PC and SL should fit into Sidearm/ Equipment slots so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

Idk about you but when I see a heavy with Max plates stacked sporting a hmg/rail rifle I run. His higher HP > speed |

Remnant apparently has a complete disconnect with the community. All the things he believes are improvements have been cursed by the community. For example, here are the things that he is praising in the interview with my comments:
1) Fast fun action in Ambush including OMFS. - I don't think anyone has had any fun in ambush in months with its protostomps.
2) AV to V balance. - Teams stacking 5 tanks on one side and wiping the floor with opposition, anyone? Is there really decent AV that can remediate this? You know the answer.
3) TTK and discussion of auto aim. - Ppl who played games other than DUST know that aimbot like AA and instant TTK make games dull as hell (I guess this one is up for discussion but I, at least, think that most ppl on the forums feel this way).
4) They want to blend the line between gun game and 'clever fits'. - This one speaks for itself: if you want to be 'good' , you need to run proto. If you cant afford proto, cough up some $ for aurum. And lets not kid ourself about 'clever' fits - it's all about damage mods, ehp and maxed out AR on medium suits.
Brilliant interview. Gimme more of that 10 year plan.

No, what he's saying is that he's completely unwilling to reveal whether or not he has a preference.
That interview was a bunch of wishy-washy mess.
