o-o That's the issue. People read "Volcanic Mood" and thought "Volcano Map" when it was really just everything except the battlefield(the sky box, the background, and the particle effect).
I was kinda ready for this and thus I'm not really disappointed. We probably won't get these really specific maps until we're done with core concepts and maps(regular racial buildings and stuff).

Tbh it doesn't feel very volcano-y anyway. I feel like i'm on any other afternoon mood unless I happen to look at the sky or i notice a random ash particle flash on my screen.

It looks like ass when you ADS at it, but I must say I do like the bellowing smoke/cloud erupting from it; that looks nice. Also I would have thought they would have used the falling ash effects from the Caldari Prime titan event, which looked so much better.
Anyway IGÇÖm happy with it, its not like I have it starting in my face the whole match!

yeah i was expecting to be walking across bridges that span lava lakes and streams meteors falling from the sky..think star wars episode 3 where anakin gets all burnt up and becomes darth vader

No. No one expected a volcano map. The problem is that that 'mood' is a 2D wallpaper of a volcano. This works well with very distant objects like moons that we see above but that volcano looks too flat.
