What do you guys think? I'm hoping this can be a discussion about fixing the tank spam that is rampant in this game.
Some have suggested a lowered vehicle limit. My personal favorite.
Some have suggested that nerfing Mlt tanks and or mods will solve the tank spam. This personally I don't like because then that takes out the most effective counter to real tanks. People like myself have adapted and bought over 50 Mlt rail 2dmg sicas as our "Go to AV" fitting.
Some have suggested increasing overall price of tanks by alot so that people don't spam them as much. Again I don't like this idea because tanks hardly die when they are spammed. Simply because once you get 6tanks on your side, you're not gunna die.
Are there any more suggestions? Perhaps buffing swarms and av nades back to pre - 1.7 levels?

In my mind tankes are fine as they are ( most part ant way )
Before u al goes banana let me explain that statement.
First I am NOT a tanker, I hate tankes I every aspect there is. They are boring to use, they are enjoying to fight etc etc However that's my gaming opinion I just don't like tanks however there are others that love em and that's awesome it in ritches the game with al these players with different play stiles and preferences.
The BIGGEST problem with tanks are the COST. Keep em ( or maybe minor tweaks ) as they are but increase the cost. As powerful as they are a militia tank should in my mind cost 500 000 to a Miljon isk fully fitted and it should only spiral up in cost from that.
That would resolve tank spamming quite fast without nerfing things throw the ground.

I prefer ISK increase... A blueberry would think twice before bringing a 450K ISK machine to the field, specially if there was a isk bonus for whoever destroys/helps destroys it ...
Tanks 514! Cheap, fast, Indestrucbible and you see tankers telling it's balanced...
Just makes you want to quit this BS

At the moment I'm waiting to see if CCP's response will be as large as the set of changes that created this state of affairs. The plan was to introduce vehicles based on a different design idea (waves of opportunity). If they follow through on their plan to rebalance vehicles from the ground up then we should see some sweeping changes to the current behaviour. |

You restrict vehicles i will call for a restriction on infantry
Only 1 protobear on a 16team, everyone gets basic, 2 heavys/2 assaults/2 logi and 5 commando/scouts
Nerf militia - Makes it crap and generally wont be used, forced players to skill into proper tanks
Increase price - Rich get richer n all that, i can afford to run tanks
Buffing swarms/av nades to pre 1.7 - lolno they were changed to go with the vehicles, they are fine and can still kill plently of vehicles and tanks, get good using them
*Wait For webifiers and av rebalancing - Most likely take months - Just like it took months to balance vehicles with AV
Most likely they will nerf militia, raise prices and the last option webs wil be added sometime to hold the vehicle
Intelligence is OP

I honestly don't understand how CCP didn't see this coming, they made tanks stronger, every form of AV weaker and reduced the cost of tanks.
Here is an easy formula CCP
Buffed Tanks + Nerfed AV + Lower Tank Cost = Tank Spam |

less base HP , Larger bonuses on modules to make them more important... Like they said in the same dev blog that posted the numbers, Like two separate people made the dev blog, and the pictures for the dev blog. And they didn't communicate with each other. That's crazy.
Forget being surprised by waiting 3 days and finding a patch with sticky remote mines, in the same dev blog they announce something the data doesn't match up with the text. the dev blog is still up...
By the way I love this game : ) No joke it's amazing. I can't wait for the gaps to be filled, the game hints at the great things to come. But leaves it juuust out of reach. But oh man it' still awesome they are pouring money into this I ope it survives 10 years! LETS DO THIS HTFU |
