I had this idea to make the equipment spammed near each other have slower resupply, healing, and spawn times. This would help with the pacing of the battle, reduce lag, and make stacking repair hives less effective. It would also be important to have tacnet info showing "noise" created by other equipment so you can easily find a spot to drop your equipment without losing performance.
Once people get used to this change, I think people will start covering their own objectives instead of swarming where the enemy is. It will be easier to clear objectives of uplinks knowing that they're either more evenly spread out, or enemies won't be able to spawn on them as quickly. Warpoint horders might still spam equipment so just simply having only their equipment blow up would be helpful to the games performance without causing problems for the helpful equipment.
Tl;dr
-Add noise if too much equipment is placed within a certain distance -More noise will make uplinks have longer timers, nanohives resupply and heal slower -Make equipment spammed in a very small area by one person get destroyed.

I agree with everything but the very small area part. In my personal experience, several matches victory/defeat has been decided on by a single narrow stair case. If i wasn't able to repair/resupply 1 of 2 things would have happened: -allies die from lack of reps -click* out of bullets Just slow the effectiveness down by claiming interference between the eq. Proto eq would be favored,to prevent militia abuse. |

New adopter of spam here. I make sure my stuff is spread out enough to survive an orbital so this doesn't affect me. Therefore, I support it.

Well, the equipment becoming destroyed would only be for the player that dropped it and it would have to be a LOT of equipment. You would still be able to supply a chokepoint with all your equipment on your current logi suit, but if you switched out just to add more to the pile you would get a warning before setting more down if you're close enough.
