When you're getting hammered in pubs every last skillpoint counts. I support SP rollover.

Why? Because the little info that pops up when you take it out only tells you about the damage build, not the range thing. Just the other day I had some poor newbie charging me with a laser rifle, and I felt bad when I put him down so easily. Also, I guess the "close range = bad" info tidbit should be added to the LR pop-up info. Amarr HAV Speculation

Using the Militia AR as a template the standard AR has slightly more range, accuracy, ammo and better pg/cpu fittings. So comparatively we can say that the STD galente AR is 1.3 times better than the miltia in every field except damage. So, the same ratio should be followed when creating milita variants of the RR, Scr, and CR in reverse. they all should be 1.3 times worse than their standard counter parts. However, when it will happen is the interesting thing. I think they want to get all the weapons out for a little bit before they do a massive overhaul like that. They need to know what needs to change from each suit and weapon before they throw stuff together. Also, there isn't even a Gallente sidearm yet. Amarr = Scrambler Pistol Minmatar = Flaylock and SMG Caldari = Bolt Pistol, Magsec SMG, and Nova Knife Gallente = "Screw them; give us back our planet!" Be well. -Joseph

Sadly, he stated they had to be built using existing Militia items. Seems CCP doesn't want to add more Militia gear, which is sad. Theoretically, just listen, I'm not crazy, CCP could take LP items and make them yellow on the Starter Fits (can only be replaced, not removed) and make racial starter fits. Course, they'd need to add some LP stuff to make that work.
