Red and blue tanks alike. Every match now comes down to who's tanks can push the other team to the red line. I don't even enjoy using my tank alt as I just feel I am adding to the problem. And when I use my rail to take out other tanks I get hatemail that I am giving tankers a bad name. I would think taking tanks off the field for the infantry would give tankers a better name then running around in a blaster tank killing infantry. I've killed plenty of tanks on foot, with nades, RE's and suicide LAV's but I am tired having to hug their redline in order to see any infantry to kill because blue takes have pushed the other team back. |

I just generally despise red line rail tanks since they can 100% shut down any dropship play for me if they aren't completely asleep, it's just something that invokes rage mail.
I hear you though, tank spam is just, bleh.

You are describing the current zero sum game that the vehicle mechanics have introduced since the last patch.
I think the debate is more focused on how to fix it now - some good ideas have been put forward: webifiers, vehicle capacitors, different AV ammo types, more AV weapons, AV skill tree, increased ISK cost, reduced vehicle count.
There's a problem, yes, it'll be interesting to see how it's fixed now. |

What other game promotes suicide to kill our enemies. (was avoiding term) or murder taxis or Lambo tanks or heavy with nova knives.... etc.

I'm tired of seeing all these Gallente and Caldari tanks and not being able to respond with my Minmatar tank!!!! i see all these other people having so much fun in their tanks and I can't join in.
Why? Because I don't want a Caldari or Gallente tank, I want a Minmatar one. But if I skill into a Caldari or Minmatar tanks and it's associated weapons, then when the Minmatar tanks come out will CCP give me a respec? Hell no. So to "...be smart with my SPs..." like every f u cking a s s hole on here keeps saying when they say no respces. I am not allowed to skill into any vehicles at all!
Fix the verisimilitude!

My only complaints are that infantry combat isn't as exciting as tank combat, and LAVs are the scouts of vehicles with no real incentive to use one over a tank or dropship. This is the reason why I put my refunded SP into infantry stuff.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Cumon, you can't do this stuff in battlefield... you have to worry about KDR too much.
I like getting in close and sticking a few RE's on tanks, usually die in the attempt but its fun watching them run away damaged later and thinking they are safe just to blow up out of nowhere. |
