Nah, I wasn't using my proto suit at the time, but what I'm saying is say you're faced with 5 enemies.

-You charge up a shot and let it fly - it takes enemy number one down to around 40 armor left.
-You fire a follow up volley and take him out
-You quickly begin firing at enemy two and take him out
-You move on to enemy three and start firing your volley
-HISSSSSSSSSSSSS you've overheated
-Enemy three is injured but not dead and kills you while you're stuck in the overheat animation

With the RR

-Kill enemy one
-Kill enemy two
-Kill enemy three
-Kill enemy four
-Injure enemy five but out of rounds and you die

The ScR is still a better all around weapon. The charge ability turns it into a shotgun, and you can out DPS anything with a fast enough trigger finger. Range is the only problem with it, but that can easily be fixed by moving cover to cover, until you get into range. Or just switch to side arm for a bit. Heck, most ranged weapons aren't made to deal with multiple targets at medium range. Thats what the assault scrambler is for. The ScR and RR are both about the same strength I;d even go as far as saying the ScR is better as it has higher Alpha damage, Charge Shot Feature, Faster RoF .. AA has been toned down as well .. really the only reason to pick RR after you have the ScR is because you want to use an anti Armor Tank weapon instead of a shield weapon
